Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Obscure Holiday Calendar (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information across the website and our mobile apps.
What we collect
- App data: device identifiers, app version, crash logs, and coarse location (country/region) for analytics and to serve relevant ads.
- Site data: standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, pages visited) and cookie or local storage data for ad delivery and consent.
- User submissions: information you send us by email (e.g., support requests, correction notes).
Slack bot data
- Workspace info: Slack workspace ID and name, plus the bot user ID created during installation.
- Configuration data: channel IDs, timezone, posting hour, holiday choice, and other bot settings.
- Command inputs: slash command text you send to the bot (used to generate responses).
- OAuth tokens: stored to let the bot post in your workspace after you install it.
How we use information
- Provide and improve the app and website.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
- Show advertising where applicable and measure performance.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
- Operate the Slack bot, respond to slash commands, and deliver scheduled posts.
Ads and analytics
- We use Google AdSense (web) and Google AdMob (apps) to show ads. These services may use device identifiers, IP address, and cookies to deliver and personalize ads where permitted.
- We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage and app stability. Data is used in aggregate to improve features and reliability.
Cookies and local storage
We may store cookies or similar identifiers to remember preferences, manage consent, and support advertising. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; some features may be limited if you do.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with:
- Service providers: such as hosting, crash reporting, analytics, and advertising partners (e.g., Google AdSense/AdMob) to operate the service.
- Payment processing: Stripe handles payments for premium features; we do not store full payment card details.
- Legal compliance: if required by law, regulation, or to protect the rights and safety of users and our services.
See our Sub-processors page for the current list of service providers.
Slack bot retention & removal
Slack bot configuration and workspace tokens are retained as long as the bot is installed. Removing the bot stops future data collection; you can request deletion of stored configuration by emailing sea.graves@mail.com with your workspace ID.

Obscure Holiday Calendar is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Disable personalized ads in your device settings or browser.
- Clear cookies/local storage to reset site preferences.
